Server

As a server at Decent, you’ll be responsible for all interactions between the customer and the back of house team in the evenings. You’ll be the kind of person who loves hosting a party, welcomes energies of all kind into your space and knows how to dance in a room that to some might feel chaotic.

What you’ll do:
A successful server will be comfortable interacting heavily with customers. You’ll have the ability and desire to speak with enthusiasm about our menu items, and help guests find the perfect meal for their table. You’ll communicate with every team member to ensure a smooth evening service. 

Shifts:

Friday-Sunday, 3:30pm-close (generally 9:30)

Tasks:

• Serve many tables with different sized groups that all have different needs with ease.

• Fill waters, pre bus tables, make guests feel comfortable

• Take orders and run food and drinks to tables

Recommended Experience: 

• Over 18 years old

• Ability to describe menu items from the beverage and food menus with detail

• Multitasking is easy for you

• Ability to remember verbal specials

• Willingness to work with your team to complete whatever needs to get done

• Positive attitude when you walk in the building that remains throughout the shift

• Ability to read email communications in a timely fashion and respond appropriately

• Weekend availability

• Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours

• Ease with an upsell that will improve the experience for a customer

• Experience with Toast, Tock, Sling or other hospitality driven technologies

• TIPS certification

• Clear communicator
